KNIGHT AFFAIRS Cometh

Hello Future Fans!

I have exciting news to report.  I have completed my manuscript!  The editor has done her part and now it's time to send the book to print.  I still have a great deal of work to do however.  I have found the gorgeous young man who will grace the cover of the book, but you are going to have to wait.  I will be hiring a photographer in the next week and the plans for the launch are underway.  This has been one of the best experiences I have ever had and it's ONLY the beginning.

Below is just a taste of what to expect from this explicit thriller.  Enjoy!

After Jeff's disappearing act, I realized the possibility of my exposure to the deadly virus that has been haunting and devouring a community of careless men for close to three decades.  I felt my soul become empty.  I questioned my own promiscuity thinking to myself that I hadn't been with as many men as some of my friends.  But reminding myself that it only takes one to infect another.  Its like playing a game of tag and I was IT.

Three weeks had passed since the wild encounter in Miami. I woke up in a pool of wetness with my soaked clothes clinging to me like saran wrap preserving day old bread. I placed my feet on the floor beneath me feeling sharp tingles with each step toward the bathroom.  My pupils were wide and my head throbbed on each side as if the clock had struck noon in the bell tower.  I applied a cold face cloth wiping sweat from my forehead.  Something wasn't right.  Dizziness overcame me as I dropped to my knees and crawled back into bed.

I tossed and turned before drifting off into a deep sleep only to awaken several hours later in another cold sweat.  I reached for my phone to call Katrina.  The phone rang three times before she answered in a husky whisper, "Yes, Courtney."
"Mother I need to talk to you."
"Courtney I have a gentleman caller here."
"A what?"
"We have nothing to hide from each other right?"
"What are you up to Katrina?"
"I hired an escort.  Son, a woman has her needs."

My eyes widened. I couldn't believe what I had just heard fall from the lips of the woman who birthed me.  All I could envision was Katrina and some man, that she found on the internet, about to have sex.  My body fell; weak and I didn't want to drag it out.
"Katrina, I'm HIV positive."
"Courtney are you trying to get attention again, you have to come with something stronger than that."
My eyes shuttered and my legs collapsed landing me to the foot of my bed on all fours.  Did she not hear what I said?  I was reminded of the day I told her that I won first place at my high school science fair and she said "Lovely darling.  Strive for a Nobel Prize.  Courtney, you're a genius."
At the time it didn't make sense to me. She apologized with a used candy apple red BMW for my sixteenth birthday.

"Honey let me call you tomorrow.  Are you going to be okay?"

My hands froze.  I felt a sharp pain escalate from my lower back up my spine and across my chest.  It was like a cast iron cross was being etched into my body.  Something else to bear.   The cell phone flashed "call ended" 9:11PM"

My world had shattered.  Life as I knew it ended.  My body had become the host for an incurable virus.  It's like I became a statistic overnight.  What would happen to me?  How long will I live?  Who will I become?

My sexual urges increased.  I created accounts on every adult site I could think of.  I became a predator.

I craved it every day even more than before but this time I was on a mission.  That mission was to do unto others what had been done unto me.

Coming soon... KNIGHT AFFAIRS

Last weekend I took a trip down to DC to spend time with Karen Minors and escape the madness of New York City.  Karen and I camped out for two days to finish a few chapters in my highly anticipated first novel, Knight Affairs.  You may be asking yourself, highly anticipated by who and my response to that is, me. I am clear that we live in a world of make believe. Day in and day out we make things up as we go. In many cases there is no explanation, we just do it. Some call it life, I call it opportunity.

When I embarked on this self inflicted challenge, I had no idea it would take me on such a roller coaster ride. It's been almost two years pulling this thing together, but I made a pact with myself that it would be delivered to your bookshelves this summer.  The book allowed me to explore a darker more cunning me.  Fans will not be ready for this work, but they will be thrilled and chilled. It's a psychological thriller, sure to make you think about friendships, drugs, sex and that fatal virus that is ravishing the world.  You know exactly what virus I'm talking about.  Find out what happens when four friends infect each other on purpose.
